Kenh Ga floating village
Not far from this Vietnam’s ancient capital lies the small fishing village named Kenh Ga floating village. To many the name will be unfamiliar, but then this is often the case with well-kept secrets.
The name Kenh Ga actually means Chicken Canal and is derived from a local hot spring which water is used to soak chickens to make it easier to pluck their feathers, why floating? because the village usually get submersed in the rainy season.

What interesting in Kenh Ga
Set on the banks of the Hoang Long River, Kenh Ga is a remarkable place, not only because it is surrounded by the same massive rocks that dominate Hoa Lu ancient capital, but also because for most of the year the entire community lives on the water itself. The floating village of Kenh Ga receives relatively few visitors compared to nearby Hoa Lu and the peoples’ aquatic way of life has changed little over the centuries.

Boat trip to Kenh Ga
The principal reason for its lack of visitors is that the village is accessible only by boat. Gliding along the river and canals, weaving one’s way through the boathouses and fishing vessels of Kenh Ga is a unique experience for there is no other place in Vietnam that combines the stunning backdrop of the limestone cliffs with an authentic floating village.
Kenh Ga Hotspring
Travel further and you will reach Kenh Ga Hot Spring,  a valuable hot mineral springs ideally for eco-tourism and relaxation. Kenh Ga Hot Spring is a good mineral waters containing much sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium and bicarbonate. The water is fresh, colorless with the stable temperature of 53°C and the capacity of about 5.000m3/h. Mineral water has retained high mineral content, which is good for the treatment and rehabilitation of health.
The resort accommodate with a large hot mineral water pool maintaining a capacity of 50 – 70 people. In addition, for those who would like to comfortably enjoy private moments, they can require the private bath, 18 individual soaking bathtubs getting international standards nestling in foothills create relaxing and tranquil space.
Van Trinh cave
Van Trinh Cave is located in Mo Mountain (Wooden Bell Mountain), in Van Trinh hamlet; Thuong Hoa Commune, Nho Quan district, close Cuc Phuong National Park. The cave, which still keeps its natural beauty with the purity and simplicity of the stone, is both accessible by boat from Kenh Ga and car along the Dyke of Hoang Long River. With an area of around 3,500 square meters, Van Trinh Cave is the biggest dry cave of Ninh Binh consisting of two connected caves.
The lower cave, called Ca Cave (fish cave), is divided into two separate areas by a stalactite screen, and has high ceiling and many beautiful stalactites on the walls. The cave foundation contains many multi-shape stone stalactites. Many stalactites form artificial ornamental basin with full edges and decorative patterns, the water is always full and clear.
Now cave still naturally not really open for entry.
